Four Wisconsin companies are among the 500 fastest-growing companies in the country, according to Inc. magazine.
The annual Inc. 5000, released Wednesday, ranks privately held companies based on revenue growth over the previous three years.
Madison-based logistics and transportation company SwanLeap was the highest Wisconsin company on the list, at 35. The 38-employee company ended 2018 with $162.6 million in revenue, according to the magazine. It grew 6,383% in the past three years.
SwanLeap topped the list in 2018 with 75,661% growth. Brad Hollister founded the company in 2013.
Fetch Rewards, a software company based in Madison, came in at No. 68 with 4,323% growth. Two businesses in the state’s craft beer industry also made it into the top 500 fastest-growing companies. Octopi Brewing in Waunakee ranked 160, and Milwaukee’s Spike Brewing Equipment took No. 426.
Advertising and marketing company Freestar took the No. 1 spot on the 2019 list. The Phoenix-based business had 36,680% growth over the past three years.
